| THE KERRY SMITH AWARD:
We would encourage all club members to nominate a person they feel worthy of receiving this honour. We are already getting nominations in which is great, what I did not mention is the nominator needs to provide the reason why the person is being nominated. The more information the better. Remember this open for all club members players, helpers, parents, etc. |
For those of you that did not know Kerrie, she was the wife of Bruce a former club President and Life Member, and the mother of Jarrod Smith. Kerrie had spent a lot of her life at Noble Park Juniors as her parents were heavily involved and held many positions on the committee (both life members), her brothers played with Noble Park as did her sons Jarrod, Reagan and Ben. Kerrie was a great support to Bruce and a tremendous supporter of the club. We all miss her humour and friendship. Kerrie was brutally honest like the time she was asked to vote for Best and Fairest and did not vote for anyone because she did not think anyone deserved it that day! Kerrie helped organise some of the social events and always made the centrepieces for the tables at the Dinner Dance. If we needed advise about events that occurred in the past Kerrie was always able to help. This shield can be presented to a current player, official or parent that represents the Best Club Person. It could be a player that does other things around the club, or mentors other players, a parent who is always assisting the coach or driving players to the games, a committee person who goes over and above their responsibilities. |
AFL KIDS FIRST PROGRAM: Date and time will be set for parents to attend, please watch for letter.
SHORTS: We have a limited stock of shorts for sale at Ross Reserve on Wednesday and Friday nights during training. The cost is $20.00. We are also taking orders as we need to purchase shorts through the DDJFL. Please note that these cannot be purchased through Sportsmart.

MOUTHGUARDS - AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE: Children playing sports without mouthguards run a huge risk of traumatic facial injuries, according to the Australian Dental Association Incorporated (ADA Inc).
CROWD BEHAVIOUR: The Committee of the NOBLE PARK FOOTBALL CLUB JUNIORS would like to remind all spectators and supporters that inappropriate or offensive behaviour will not be tolerated.
FINALS CODE OF BEHAVIOUR: Finals are special days, which conjures excitement and much anticipation. It is the players' day, a day they have been working toward during the season.
