Coaches Report
This game was our ticket to go straight into the grand final. The wind conditions were unbelievable, players catching their own kicks some players not even able to kick. Unfortunately we didn’t make the most of the wind advantage in the first quarter and we fell behind. Allowing Cranbourne to break through us. The girls were still concerned with the amount of injuries we have had in the past week as some of the group were already waiting for our second chance gone. This week we need to step up and remember girls it’s just like any other game, given a name. Play and train this week as if it was our last.

Our last game of the season, despite our win it felt very much like a loss to the whole team Three players our with bad injuries who are a big part of the team as anyone else is a shock to the whole team. We can’t look for excuses, but only keep our heads up and move on with what we have to do.

A must win game to claim top position on the ladder and to ensure we play Narre South in the first finals game. A well played team effort carried us after qtr time and with girls absent and with no bench, the girls still managed to keep their legs. Congratulations to Brooke Tour for 50 games. We have two games left. Girls let’s finish the season on a high.

A big game against a side we really needed to beat. For us it was a mid season grand final. We needed to stop Berwick’s danger players and we were successful doing so. A very hard game with a few injuriesm but I am very pleased how all the girls played both attacking and defence. We never let them back in girls. Excellent work girls, best win for this season.

We needed to be switched on for this game to pose any threat to Cranbourne, our first real competitive game since round 2. Poor conditions didn’t allow both teams to play at full potential, but a great second half closed down any chance of Cranbourne to lift. Next week we need to be switched on from the pre-game to beat Berwick. Good win Girls.

We came into the game knowing we can win and thoughout the game we lead all the way. Our intensity was superb and was needed in order to slow down the momentum of a very fast team. At times we were switched off and then the second half we became a whole different team. Shutting out our opponent. Well done girls.

A great win by the girls who are rapidly showing a huge improvement. We did not allow the ball to reach out defensive half, completely shutting out our opponents. We are starting to play as a complete team, sharing the load and communicating with each other which is valuable to our success. Excellent performance girls. Lets follow it up with a win next week.

We came into the game without the proper preparation and distracted pre-season, to follow up an impressive first round. With a few players out in a small team and to match up to an opposition with one less player added to confusion amongst the girls. We started well for a team embarking on a new challenge. A tough game with a few knocks, unfortunately not to go in our favour. This is the first step to what the rest of the season holds. Well done girls.
